JAP JonDo

Jap JonDo is a Java-based, free open source software that is extremely convenient. It is used for accessing Jon Donym services in order to become anonymous during your various web activities. Instead of you connecting directly to a web server, you would essentially take a detour, thereby connecting through many different intermediaries.

As the data is sent through it is then encrypted and sent to what is known as a mix of cascades. The sole purpose of this is anonymity so that you can do whatever it is you are trying to do on the internet without being seen or traced.

Once data is encrypted by the JonDo program and sent to the first mix of cascades, it is then sent through a second mix and ultimately passed along to a third mix. This is where the data encryption is sent through a cache proxy and then to the internet.

Each one of the mixes uses cryptographic processes on the data, making it readable only after having gone through the right mixes, in the perfect order. The result is that a snoop or eavesdropped will only receive data that is unreadable.

In addition, the actual user cannot be tracked or identified. The basic premise is that you become a needle in a haystack so to speak. Your connection is hidden among many other users, making it virtually impossible to distinguish your connection from that of the others in your mix.
