MP3 Rocket
MP3 Rocket is downloadable open source file sharing software created using the LimeWire core. In fact, this program looks a lot like LimeWire to those of us who remember using that program once upon a time. The only difference really is that MP3 Rocket is even better!
MP3 Rocket offers so many added features such as live streaming radio with hundreds of channels, the ability to watch television, movies and of course updated search abilities that bring up rare and hard to find material for download.
Parental controls are enhanced, giving parents peace of mind in knowing their kids cannot get their hands on just anything, which makes this a winner where parents are concerned.
MP3 Rocket gives users the ability to preview downloads as they are coming through which will save them from downloading a bunch of stuff they don’t want just to get to the stuff they do want.
The interface is intuitive and user friendly, meaning you don’t have to be a member of the geek squad to navigate your way around it. Torrent files, gnutella files, documents, games and much more can be downloaded using this program.
The installation is rather easy but it is important to note that it will automatically ask you to change certain settings that are not necessary in order for the program to work properly.
For example, you do not have to choose ask.net to be your homepage, download the tool bar or change your default browser. Simply uncheck those choices when you are going through the installation process.
